To allow your phone to auto-correct in the right language take the following steps:

  • Go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  • Tap General
  • Tap Dictionary
  • Tap the language of which you would like to have the dictionary e.g. Spanish and Spanish-English. Then go back to the General Settings
  • Tap Keyboard
  • Tap keyboards
  • Tap add New Keyboard
  • Tap the language of your choice e.g. Spanish
  • Exit the Settings app on your device

To see if it works take the following steps:

  • Open Microsoft Translator
  • Tap the keyboard icon
  • You will see a small globe at the left of your space bar
  • Tap and hold the globe and you will see list of languages appear. If you choose Spanish, you'll notice that the phrase you type is now autocorrected in Spanish.
