How do I get my language supported?
Text Languages:
We add new languages periodically. In the process of adding a new language to the automatic translation system, the most important learning material is existing high-quality translations—the same text in two languages.
A significant amount, typically 4 to 5 million words of this type of text, is needed to build a reasonable-quality automatic translation system for a particular language pair. Find out how automatic translation works at www.aka.ms/MT.
Speech Languages
Speech recognition is a totally different process than translation. It requires a whole new set of data (hundred of hours of recorded audios and their associated transcriptions) and trainings of our machine learning based engines to become available. Therefore, we cannot always deliver speech recognition as quickly as new supported languages become available for Microsoft Translator.
We continue to release improvements to the quality of our existing languages and to expand on our coverage of languages from around the world so that more and more people can talk to the Microsoft Translator in their own language.
Stay tuned on our blog (www.aka.ms/Translatorblog), Facebook page (www.facebook.com/microsofttranslator), or Twitter feed (www.twitter.com/MStranslator) for updates to our language coverage.
For the up-to-date list of supported language please go to www.microsoft.com/translator/languages.aspx

Chuukese
Please add Chuukese / Trukese to your supported languages. Currently, there is no translation service available for this language from Micronesia. Many schools are struggling to support these students. The only way to translate currently is a hard copy book from before the language was re-named from trukese to chuukese.

Karen language
The Karen language (ကညီကျိာ်) is spoken by around 4 million native speakers in Myanmar and Thailand. There are a large Karen community living in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, and all over Europe. It would be a great progress for our Karen people if we can have access to Karen translation. If you could add Karen language to the service, we would gladly help translate millions of words into Karen language. We want to help to make this happen. The Karen language is also known as S'gaw Karen language however, Karen alone is commonly known.…

Indian Languages
1.3 Billion people live in India which is 18% of the world's population. Every 1 in 6 people are Indians. We are a very diverse country with many amazing cultures and especially languages, 22 official to be exact. Please add more Indian Languages! If you added languages like Kannada & Telugu, I'm sure the Indian community would be very grateful. We are very underappreciated in terms of our language count. Almost all the European Languages are up there but their population is 746 Million. Why can't we equally have Indian languages too. We need more representation!

Kurdish
Kurdish or Kürtçe is a continuum of Northwestern Iranian languages spoken by the Kurds in Western Asia. Kurdish forms three dialect groups known as Northern Kurdish (Kurmanji), Central Kurdish (Sorani), and Southern Kurdish (Pehlewani). A separate group of languages, Zaza-Gorani, is also spoken by several million Kurds, but is linguistically not Kurdish.
