Samoan Speech - Samoa
The Samoan language is the 3th or 4th most spoken language in New Zealand. In the context of the South Pacific, Samoa is an influential nation and business hub. Since the attempted colonisation of Samoa in the late 19th and early 20th centuries Samoan people have migrated world wide. When the US converted the eastern Samoan islands (Pago Pago) into a US territory this has also provided an avenue for migration. Although not significant in percentage when compared to the larger languages such as English, Spanish or Hindi the Samoan language has global spread.
