    Thanks for the post on the forum.

    Please know that on all our apps and on https://www.bing.com/translator/ you can switch between languages by tapping or clicking on the double arrows between the two languages.

  2. "Try and compare" has stopped translating.

    I have been using https://translator.microsoft.com/neural for a few months on an almost daily basis, but today it has stopped translating. I input a text, click "Translate & Compare!", the page seems to be loading, but then nothing happens, there is no translation.

    Thanks for your post and votes on the Microsoft Translator forum.

    Translate.ai is now a page to showcase our Chinese to
    English Human Parity work. Read the story here: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/translation/2018/03/14/human-parity-for-chinese-to-english-translations/ Our team has taken what we’ve learned from this specific project and placed it
    in our Translate.ai environment for people to test.

    The best way to now use Translator while online
    is to go to https://www.bing.com/translator/ where the translations are neural when available and statistical
    when not. You can find the list of available languages here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/languages.aspx

    Thanks for your feedback. It is much appreciated!

    Please know that automatic Translations are usually of a lower quality than professionally translated texts, however the software learns from corrections and constantly improves its output. As automatic translations use statistical machine learning to translate from one language to another it works best when translating full sentences. It can make errors, especially when the phrase lacks context.

    You can learn about how automatic translation works at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/mt.aspx.

  5. to improve translate accuracy for the word "Neoma"

    Hi, I am a software engineer from Yammer. And Yammer is using MS Translate for our product.
    One customer reported there is an incorrect translation of the word "NEOMA" to "valerie" while translating to French in posts.

    Englist => French
    NEOMA => valerie
    Customer claims it is incorrect, but doesn't provide preferred translation.

    There aren't many hungarian speakers in the world, so it's probably not a priority, but please, please, please improve the quality of translation, otherwise I won't be able to speak to my in-laws!!

    Thank you for using Microsoft Translator.

    There are several ways to translate an email.

    The quickest way to translate the occasional email is to copy and paste the text in https://www.bing.com/translator/

    If you translate emails on a regular basis I can recommend installing the Outlook translator add on. You can download the translator add on from the online app store. It’s free and you can find a description on how to download and use it here: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Translator-for-Outlook-3d7e12ed-99d6-406e-a453-b9db0d9653fa

    Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

    Sincerely,
    Gwenda

    Hi, This is indeed a very annoying issue which you can resolve as follows: When you look at the keyboard there is a little gear lever. Once you choose the gear lever you can choose the “Add input languages” which gives you the option to choose the keyboard you would like.

    Thank you for using Microsoft Translator. We appreciate your feedback.

    The translation system is constantly learning, making corrections, and improving its output.

    Automatic translations use statistical machine learning to translate from one language to another, and it works best when translating full sentences. In some instances, it can create errors, especially when the phrase lacks context.

    You can learn more about how automatic translation works at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/mt.aspx

    Thanks again for your feedback to improve our translation service. Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with.

    You can see your recent translation history on both your phone and watch. You can also “pin” translations to keep them around until you unpin them.

    You can use the Microsoft Translator app while offline in 40+ languages. Please find the list of available languages here: aka.ms/translatorlanguages

    To be able to use the app while offline you need to prepare by downloading a language pack. e.g. if you want to translate from Japanese to French you will need to download both French and Japanese language packs while on a Wi-Fi connection. You can find the how-to here: https://microsofttranslator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1101838-how-to-download-languages-for-offline-use
