Enable spell check for the language of my selected keyboard
Spell check

Hi,
Several of our users have asked us to auto-correct in the language that they are using as a source language even though their phone “speaks” a different language.
There is a way to solve this issue and I’ve added the how-to for iPhone/iPad and Android below:
iPhone:
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap General
- Tap Dictionary
- Tap the language you would like to have the dictionary of e.g. Spanish and Spanish-English
Then go back the General Settings
- Tap Keyboard
- Tap keyboards
- Tap add New Keyboard
- Tap the language of your choice e.g. Spanish
Now, go to Microsoft Translator app.
- Tap the keyboard icon
- You will see a small globe on the left of your space bar
- tap and hold the globe and you will see list of languages appear. If you choose Spanish you’ll get autocorrected in Spanish.
Android:
You can resolve this issue by going the settings of your device and by adding an input language. Not every Android device is the same so I have added the steps for my Samsung device:
- Go to Settings
- Swipe from right to left 3 times to reach the System tab.
- Tap Language and input
- Tap Samsung keyboard
- Tap + Add input languages
- Turn on the language(s) of your choice
Once you have done this you will notice that the Translator app offers multiple languages in the space bar. When you swipe on the space bar in text translations you can choose the language.
Best regards,
Gwenda

Sometimes I hear a word that I am not sure of it’s correct spelling.
It’s worth correcting spelling -

I am typing Italian on my English phone to get the translation and the keyboard tries to auto correct. Arghhh

The auto correct is a setting on your individual device. You have to turn it off in your phone settings to stop it from auto correcting.

When I type from any language, say German, to translate to English, the keyboard auto corrects spelling of German words as it was English.

It doesn't detect the correct language when it auto detect mode. It comes up with some completely of the wall language that's not even a related language or in the same language family.

When typing spell check keeps changing my Spanish words...need to have spell check turned off when using this!

for example when using English keyboard to translate from source language Indonesian, disable spell checker because it auto-corrects every Indonesian word into English.

I am using it for chat in online gaming.i found some problems which i am mentioning here.
1- Auto features doesn't supports camera and mic.
2- in Auto mode it specify and showa the language and translate it but mode doesn't change itself to that language which it has been detected. We have to do it manually.
3- it doesn't suggest words if word is having spell mistake while translating.
4- i have translated sentences in spanish and french and it is appearing up in translating windows. I wants that you give the option to select language by tapping/clicking on sentences which are appearing in translating window. -

That's a fact. If the word isn't found it auto corrects to something in english. Useless! Sad!

I am often to type in different languages, some with characters such as š or í . Spell check would be greatly appreciated.

It makes no sense when typing in Spanish to have the keyboard try to auto correct it to English. It makes typing very slow and prone to error.

Please provide an option to turn off auto-correct. Or at least auto-correct in the language that the user is translating from.
