Offer a copy button
and while you're at it, add a simple Ctrl-c would suffice.
Please use the conventional way instead of current three dots needed to copy in the Android app.

It would be good if the hover tip text of the original language for each selected word could be copied and pasted elsewhere for further search/analysis/tasks.

Allows to copy in the clipboard the translated text not only using the Copy menu item (possibly not so visible) but also simply selecting that text and pressing cntl+c, as you are used to do ...

Currently, you need to fully copy the text translated. Other translators for web have option to "copy to clipboard" in one click instead of dragging the mouse over the whole translated text.

The copy and paste are in another menu. WOuld seem to make more sense if they were at the bottom of the screen as primary selections, rather than having to click the 3 dot item at the lower right and bring up a secondary menu.

It would seem that the most common use of translate is to translate text from some other source like mesenger or email or a web page, and a common destination would also be another application. Having copy and paste at the bottomof the screen without having to selct the three dot menu would be a lot smoother, and it is not intuitive to go to another menu. Control-C and Control-V don't work either. That would seem intuitive also.

The application is stable, good, basic and effective, but why not let copy the text which is translated? It is an aberration.
Do you want is that we continue using the Google Translator forced? -

Why can I not cut/copy and paste the translation from the translator to my gmail page or, if possible now, how do I do it?

There is a great need for the copy function which was translated. The application is great translations from English to Portuguese, is the best, but this function is needed, especially for students.

Sometimes I write something and the language translation is the wrong way around - instead of rewriting it, I'd like to just switch the language direction and copy or drag and drop the text.

Just like Edge has "Paste" and "Paste and Go" as options when you right click on the address bar the translator app should have "Paste" and "Paste and Translate"
