Offer a copy button
and while you're at it, add a simple Ctrl-c would suffice.
Please use the conventional way instead of current three dots needed to copy in the Android app.
Can't believe you can't copy and paste in 2017.

When reading comments in a chat room some people are from other parts of the world. When I long press on the comment and select copy, the foreign language text is copied to the clipboard. If a floating pop-up box from Microsoft Translator appeared, It could pressed and the text passed to your translator. A box would open and show the translated text in my language. Microsoft Translator is much better and translates correctly. The current workaround to translate text messages or comments in a chat room is very clunky. That other translator does provide this floating bubble. However, the translation is not correct or understandable.
I would like to see the ability to cut and paste as this would help when writing a letter in Microsoft Word. Is there a way to do this already?
This tap to translate feature would come very handy and is also widely requested:
Agreed. I believe android version has it. I'll continue to use google translate
Im paying it again. Hopefully Microsoft reed it also. Do something about it. How difficult can it be?????? It was possible in the same program operating under windows 8.1. Do it fast, before I go back to China this summer. PLEASE

The copy and paste icon should not only include the chinese characters but also the latin letters. Please add such a functionality
about not being able to copy and
paste the translated text. After some experimentation I discovered that
the text is indeed copied however the app doesn't tell you or give any
clues that anything had happened. I discovered that the text is indeed
copied by going into another app and pressing on the screen and I got a
prompt to paste. When I selected paste the translated text was shown.
Perhaps on future versions you can add something that lets you know that
the text is copied.

add tab to translate like google translator app on android...
Its easy to add this features to Microsoft translator, just translate any word that copied to clipboard and show a notification for that....

You can tap / click on the copy icon at the bottom of the screen to copy the selected translation. But it would be nice if standard keyboard shortcuts or right click context menu worked on the desktop version of the app.
This is great news! I'm so glad to see there's a copy feature. Seems like an awkward UI though, until I were on my mobile device when using this app. The desktop is where I'm at mostly, when needing translations.
This feature suggestion was made over a year ago. Is there a path for seeing this come to the product?

I miss this functionality a lot. Before it was so easy to copy the translated text in windows 8.1. Specially from English to chinese text. Why, thus function is lost?
As others have noted, it seems crazy that there is no option to copy the translated results to use them outside of Translator. Referring to the Windows 10 Translator app from the Store. The app says it's version 18.104.22.168.
Make a copy button

You can do so by selecting the translation and clicking Copy in the lower bar.
