Thanks for posting, commenting and voting on the Microsoft Translator Forum. Your request to slow down the speed at which a translation is spoken is now available on both Microsoft Translator for Android (app version 3.1.252 and higher) and Microsoft Translator for iOS (app version 3.0.8 and higher).

You can now translate a sentence from any of our supported languages (Find a list here: http://www.aka.ms/translatorlanguages) to one of the following languages and slow down the audio speed:

    o Arabic
    o Catalan
    o Chinese Mandarin
    o Danish
    o Dutch
    o English
    o Finnish
    o French
    o German
    o Italian
    o Japanese
    o Korean
    o Norwegian
    o Polish
    o Portuguese
    o Russian
    o Spanish
    o Swedish

    It works as follows:
    - Type (or speak) the phrase you want to translate
    - Tap the Speaker icon and wait for the translation to be spoken
    - You’ll notice a play icon (a small triangle) appear in the speaker icon.
    - Then tap the Speaker icon again and notice that the translation is spoken at a slower pace. You tap the speaker icon a third time to hear the translation at a much slower pace.

Please keep giving us your feedback and we’ll keep improving!

    Best regards,
    Gwenda

Juan! You are a gift, my friend, After searching endlessly for an answer - you had it! I tried triple-clicking, but did not get slower. However, once you double-click, at least in the current session, the audio remains slower. Thank YOU!!

Is it possible to have variou speeds when listening to the speech translation? This would be ideal to be able to listen to the tones and correct pronunciation for Chinese simplified.

It would be great if you had an option in the settings to slow down the speed of translation.

Slow down the speed at which the Portuguese female translator speaks. It's so fast it's incomprehensible - so why have it unless it work properly. Thanks

HEYYY........, I just discovered that if you make double click in the audio icon in the Google translator, the speed of the voice it is significantly reduced.
So, it is possilble obtain an add to manage the speed.
It is still missing a convenient command: remarking or lighting the word which is being mentioned.
Sure Bing Translator Team, can get it.
